Skating Spooktacular 2014

This past Sunday, October 26, the POFST held their annual Skating Spooktacular to celebrate Halloween at Piney Orchard Ice Arena in Odenton, MD. The event was open to the public and anyone who arrive in costume was permitted to skate for free. Those opting not to participate in the costume contests paid a nominal $3.00 entry fee. Awards were given to first and second place winners in three categories with a single award going to the best overall costume. The Piney Orchard Ice Arena Figure Skating coaching staff was given the honor of choosing the winners.

Scariest Costume - 1st Place: "Zombie" Kate, 2nd Place: Nina Soto
Prettiest Costume - 1st Place: Vanessa, 2nd Place: Grace Purdum
Best Overall - Natalie Craft

Among the fun and games was a cake-skate, hosted by the Junior members of the Executive Board. All individuals who brought a desert were eligible to play this wild ice game with roots in classic musical chairs.
